Meet The Board

We are lucky to have wonderful, hardworking and supportive people on the board for A Single Ember.

Chair Person, Jennifer Behrends. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, minoring in Communications and Intercultural Studies as well as a Master of Science in Management with an emphasis on Organizational Behavior. She has years of experience in training and development, change management, talent development and consulting. Currently residing with her partner and 12 year old daughter; Jennifer loves to travel, work out, and spoil their two Australian Shepherds, Ero and Ghost. Jennifer is excited to apply her talents at A Single Ember, bringing a community together with a shared purpose of making it better.

Secretary, Darlene Gerlick(Davis). Darlene has a Bachelor in accounting and financing, and is also a certified 200 hour yoga teacher. She has years of experience in management and business administration. Living with her husband and 13 year old daughter; she enjoys teaching yoga, being an active member of her church, and enjoying time with her family including their Australian Shepherd, Barley. Darlene is looking forward to being on the board of A Single Ember, having a love for all people and being apart of a nonprofit that is a welcoming place for all.

Treasurer, James Behrends. James is currently the president of a heavy highway asphalt company, where he has been for 38 years, leading the company to many successes. A father to 9 and grandfather to 14, he is also a loving leader and support system to many. James is looking forward to aiding A Single Ember, in retiring soon, his decades of experience can contribute to meeting the many high goals A Single Ember is working to meet.
